How can we make the world a little better? At Happy Foundation, we believe education is the key.
In Tanzania, primary education is officially free — but for many families, the cost of mandatory uniforms, books, and school supplies keeps children out of school. Without these essentials, they simply can’t attend.
A Happy day
Happy is a teacher at Natema Primary School in Arusha, where over 800 children come to learn. She teaches first graders — more than 100 children in one classroom!
Every year, Happy makes sure her students have what they need to start school properly: clean uniforms, books, and pencils — as required by school regulations.
Right now, she is also taking care of all other classes in the school, going above and beyond to give every child a chance.
But covering these costs is no longer possible for her on her own. That’s why we’ve started the “Happy Foundation”, named in her honor — to support her mission and help as many children as possible.

A full school uniform, shoes, and books cost just $41. A raincoat to keep children dry on their way to school costs $10.
